About the role:
- The company is a well-established organisation within the food manufacturing and quality assurance industry, known for its strong compliance standards and commitment to product quality.
- Based in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
- 3-month casual contract with potential for extension.
- Monday to Friday with standard working hours.

About your duties:
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, your main responsibilities may include:
- Liaise and coordinate analytical testing with external laboratories
- Data entry, report writing, and generation of Certificates of Analysis
- Release raw materials and finished products through internal systems
- Manage laboratory consumables, including purchasing and stock control
- Raise purchase orders, receipting, and invoice processing
- Assist with calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Support maintenance of quality and compliance standards within the laboratory
- Participate in proficiency programs and internal audits
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and cleanliness standards
- Ensure all work complies with OH&S and regulatory requirements
- Support training of staff where required
- Collaborate with internal teams including Quality, Operations, and Customer Service
About you:
- Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Technology, or a related scientific discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a QC laboratory within food manufacturing or a testing environment
- Understanding of OH&S, HACCP, and laboratory compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities
- Good problem-solving and reporting skills
- Strong IT and data management skills
- A team player with the ability to work across departments
- Valid driver’s licence
