General Surgery Registrar

Location: Shepparton, Goulburn Valley (Regional Victoria)

Position Type: Full-time (Fixed-term / Ongoing options available)

The Opportunity

A busy regional health service in the Goulburn Valley is seeking a General Surgery Registrar to join a well-established surgical department. This role offers excellent operative exposure, strong consultant supervision, and broad general surgery experience in a supportive regional environment.

About the Role

  • Participation in general surgical inpatient and outpatient care
  • Exposure to emergency and elective general surgery
  • Operating theatre experience appropriate to training level
  • Participation in an on-call roster with consultant support
  • Involvement in pre-operative assessment and post-operative management
  • Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff
  • Participation in audit, morbidity & mortality meetings, and quality improvement activities

About You

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
  • Minimum PGY3 (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated interest in general surgery
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
