The client is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead the restaurant operations at Royal Exchange Hotel Burra. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day service delivery, supervising staff, maintaining service quality, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in upholding the hotel’s reputation for quality food, excellent customer service, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications and Experience

· Diploma or higher qualification in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.

· At least three years of proven experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.

· Manage, train, and schedule staff to maintain a productive and positive workplace.

· Ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

· Monitor and enforce compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

· Manage budgeting, stock control, and financial performance of the restaurant.

· Coordinate with suppliers and oversee inventory levels to support smooth operations.

· Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

· Develop and implement marketing, promotional, and customer engagement initiatives.

· Analyse sales and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

· Planning and delivering special events, functions, and promotional activities.

· Implement procedures that improve efficiency, productivity, and service consistency.

· Represent the hotel positively within the local community and support community engagement.

Skills and Attributes

· Strong background in restaurant or hospitality management.

· Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

· Sound financial understanding, including budgeting and cost control.

· Knowledge of food and beverage operations, stock management, and supplier coordination.
