Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to lead our day-to-day operations. This role involves managing team performance, ensuring compliance, maintaining stock levels, and fostering a strong customer-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily store and pump operations, overseeing paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Selecting and managing product ranges, including introducing new items and discontinuing underperforming stock to meet customer demands and market trends.
- Deciding sale prices, preparing pricing and discount strategies based on market analysis, and implementing effective sales and marketing initiatives.
- Monitoring stock levels, placing timely orders, and managing supplier relationships through regular evaluation and negotiation of prices.
- Reconciling cash deposits and overseeing financial operations, including monitoring expenses to ensure the business remains within budget.
- Organizing staff rosters and undertaking recruitment activities to maintain an efficient and well-trained workforce.
- Training, supervising, and evaluating staff performance to promote workplace efficiency and foster a positive team environment.
- Addressing customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and uphold service quality.
- Preparing promotional materials and in-store displays to enhance customer engagement and boost sales.
- Conducting occupational health and safety evaluations to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of Diploma in a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a similar or related managerial role.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of retail inventory systems and merchandising practices.
- Familiarity with retail safety and compliance frameworks.
- Capability to manage operational reports and financial documentation.
