Job Description (RF Product Engineer)
Individual will be responsible for the characterization & product development of RFIC and product for mobile wireless(Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) and commercial/industrial applications.
The Engineer will be a part of the product development team, taking industry leading product designs and readying them for mass production.
The job requires expertise in RF and Instrument Automation combined with disciplined project planning to ensure high quality product. As part of a cross-functional product development team, the engineer will support other essential teams including marketing and applications, project management, design, production and test engineering.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
· Product Characterization: Support Design Engineering with product characterization plan definition; perform product characterization over a superset of conditions specified in the datasheet; drive the development of necessary benches to evaluate all relevant performance requirement
· Product Qualification: Analyze results from products being stress for lifetime reliability; support bench testing of qualification units when necessary
· Product Documentation: Document all relevant product information specific to the performance and limitations of the device as future reference for application and customer support; provide data sheet performance limits based on design verification and characterization data
· Product Evaluation: Support product design verification

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
· Typically requires 5 years of experience in Product Engineering
· Direct experience in design and bring into mass production
· Knowledge of RFIC products and parameters - RF switches, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, mixers, PLLs, etc. Gain, Noise Figure, Smith Chart, Linearity
· Knowledge of IC fabrication and impact on circuit performance.
· Oversee the floorplan layout and verification of the design to ensure a successful product.
· Strong knowledge of desense and able to optimize board/module layouts for desense mitigation. Also, has experience with desense mitigation with integrated PMUs/DSPs (i.e. package isolation, frequency planning, etc).
· Ability to drive strong production test/QA methodologies.
· Programming theory and/or knowledge of a programming language
· Computer Skills: Experience with several of the following software tools: Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint , LabVIEW, TestStand, Allegro
