Matrix Education is now hiring a full time English Teacher to join our team.
Reporting to the English Coordinator, the role will be primarily based at our Sydney CBD head office for department administration hours and will require the candidate to travel to their base location in either Chatswood or Epping in the afternoon for teaching.
This opportunity is ideal for a recent university graduate with teaching and tutoring experience seeking a full time teaching and academic role, or a school teacher looking for a new challenge while experiencing a corporate workplace.
You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.
What you’ll do…
- Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term and daily classes during the NSW school holidays.
- Classroom resource development.
- Publishing and maintenance of Matrix Online English courses.
- Assisting the English Coordinators in roster management and departmental administration.
- Act as a reporting line for a team of Senior Tutors.
What you’ll need…
- A genuine passion for literature and teaching.
- A thorough knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5 and 6 English.
- Previous experience teaching secondary English in a classroom setting.
- Completed tertiary qualifications in Education, Journalism, Media or Communications. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not necessary.
