We are seeking experienced teachers with a teaching area in one or a combination of the following:

  • Mathematics,
  • English,
  • Economics,
  • History, or
  • Geography.

About You

As a Secondary Teacher at John Paul College, you will be instrumental in shaping the skills and knowledge of our students through innovative teaching and thoughtful curriculum delivery.

The successful candidates will:

  • Support and embody the College Ethos, recognising each student's individual potential and fostering their development.
  • Create inclusive, dynamic learning environments that inspire student engagement and achievement.
  • Communicate effectively and foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate actively in the broader life of the College by attending staff meetings, curriculum development sessions, extracurricular activities, school camps, and community events.

Candidates will require:

  • A commitment to the vision and values of John Paul College.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound organisational and classroom management skills, with a focus on safety and student wellbeing.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • A dedication to continuous professional development to remain at the forefront of educational practices in their faculty of expertise.
