A well-established civil contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join its team and help deliver a strong pipeline of works across Brisbane and the SEQ region.
This contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, high-quality civil construction projects across sectors including development, road construction and infrastructure, with project capability spanning complex roadworks, bridges, landslip remediation and design-and-construct delivery. The business emphasises reliable delivery, strong client relationships and practical leadership backed by deep civil construction experience.
The role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of site-based delivery, leading crews and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can drive programme, maintain standards on site and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site operations across civil construction projects
- Coordinate direct labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers
- Drive site safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Monitor construction programme and proactively manage short-term planning
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Identify and resolve site issues in a practical and timely manner
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and reporting
- Work closely with project engineers and project managers to achieve programme and budget outcomes
- Lead by example in site culture, communication and performance expectations
About you
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or General Foreman within civil construction.
- Strong background delivering TMR road, bulk earthworks, drainage or associated infrastructure packages
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors across active work fronts
- Strong knowledge of site safety, QA and construction sequencing
- Confident reading plans and coordinating works to programme
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- Stable employment history with reputable civil contractors
- Current Driver’s Licence and relevant site tickets / certifications
