Join the Science Engagement and Impact team as a Senior Project Officer and play a key role in improving the communication and understanding of our science products. In this role, you’ll lead communication and engagement initiatives to enhance the visibility and impact of our scientific work. You’ll collaborate with internal and external partners to design and deliver key events, programs, and communication strategies.

Your expertise will help build capacity and foster strong partnerships within government, industry, and research organisations.

The role:

As the Senior Project Officer, you will:

  1. Lead business development, as well as stakeholder and community engagement projects and activities to support effective communication and brokerage of science services.
  2. Identify opportunities for greater engagement with clients, and contribute to stronger collaborative partnerships with government agencies, industry and research organisations through effective liaison, consultation and regular communication.
  3. Develop and deliver targeted information about applied science portfolios to increase visibility of its scientific capability and services.
  4. Coordinate a portfolio of events and engagement programs from conception to evaluation which raise the profile of DETSI science in Queensland and help the Division’s scientists to engage with the wider community.
