Role Details:

Our Adelaide CBD office is seeking a Service Desk Officer to provide high quality and effective technical support to a diverse range of stakeholders across the department.

In this role, you will be:

  1. Providing an advanced help desk function for all approved computer and peripheral hardware.
  2. Utilising a call logging system to prioritise problems and record resolutions to enhance team communications.
  3. Managing requests for change through consultation with end users while processing user and organisation profiles as required,
  4. Ensuring all security policies and practices are adhered to.
  5. Conducting informal training sessions to maintain the effective operation of all DCP applications.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  1. High level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of stakeholders.
  2. Ability to document procedures to improve responses, installations, training and problem solving.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with computer systems, including mainframes and adapt to evolving technologies and system changes.
  4. Ability to work under pressure, determine priorities, plan and organise work while maintaining accuracy.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge in standard desktop environment applications.
