Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong full-stack development experience to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web-based applications, eCommerce platforms, and enterprise systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and software systems
- Analyse user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
- Work on eCommerce platforms including custom-built and Shopify-based solutions
- Optimise database performance and application efficiency
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation strategies
- Identify and resolve system deficiencies, bugs, and performance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ensure application security, including data protection and encryption practices
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong experience in:
- PHP and Laravel framework
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- MySQL database design and optimisation
- Proven experience with:
- REST API development and integration
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience in debugging, testing, and maintaining production systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience eCommerce platforms
- Exposure to DevOps practices
- Experience leading or mentoring development teams
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
