  3. Empowering clients to understand their legal issues and resolve matters wherever possible with guided support

This role offers an excellent opportunity for lawyers who enjoy varied legal work and want to build practical expertise while contributing to meaningful community outcomes.

Bring Your Legal Skills and Community Mindset

To qualify, you will need to be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a Tasmanian practising certificate. Ideally, you will bring a minimum of two years of post-admission experience. As our ideal candidate, you will be approachable, confident, and compassionate. You will be able to manage your workload effectively, work independently when required, and collaborate closely with colleagues within a small team environment.

You will also bring curiosity, humility, and a genuine commitment to improving access to justice. This role will suit a lawyer who enjoys the breadth of generalist practice and values the opportunity to support individuals and communities through meaningful legal work.

Please Note: You will also require a current driver's licence and a Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check, or the ability to obtain these.
