Role Overview: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plasterer to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying plaster and decorative finishes, and repairing existing plasterwork in accordance with project specifications and strict safety requirements across various residential sites acorss the following tasks:

1. Reading and interpreting architectural & engineering drawings to ensure the finish of formed surfaces match the required specifications;
2. Analyzing and determining plasterboard layout, including the installation of insulation and vapor barriers;
3. Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard to precise specifications;
4. Lifting and positioning plasterboard panels accurately, securing them to walls, ceilings and battens;
5. Preparing and affixing corner beads securing them in place;
6. Installing pre-cast cornices, panel moldings, ceiling centers, and other plaster fittings;
7. Concealing joints and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, achieving a smooth finish using wet brushes and sandpaper;
8. Mixing and applying layers of plaster, cement, and render to structures using trowels, ensuring uniformity of thickness;
9. Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, and surfaces of walls and ceilings;
10. Crafting decorative textures in finishing coats for aesthetic appeal;
11. Applying and refining acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and similar substances.

Requirements: The successful candidate must possess the following:

1. An Australian Certificate III (or relevant higher degree qualification) in Solid Plastering, Wall and Ceiling Lining, or a closely related field, PLUS a minimum of 2 years of relevant, full-time post-qualification experience.
2. Alternative Experience: In the absence of a formal qualification, a minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time experience may be considered as a substitute.
3. Strong understanding of site safety (OH&S) and building regulations.
4. Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with tradespeople and site managers.
5. Valid driver’s licence and White Card (General Construction Induction).
