Supply Chain Analyst – Dandenong South, VIC

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist a well-established multi-national manufacturing and engineering firm working across multiple industries and platforms providing their clients with innovative engineering, vertically integrated manufacturing, and global distribution. Their wide range of expertise across industries include various products in acoustics, thermal and fluid management, accessories and fabrications, and NVH.

Their world class facility boasts advanced manufacturing equipment serving clients with diverse portfolios including agriculture, construction, forestry, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, and many more. They are now seeking a qualified and experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join the operations team based in Dandenong South. The role is full time and ongoing.

Location – Dandenong South

Salary – Negotiable in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum

The duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

  1. Prepare and recommend proposals to revise operations methods and procedures such as procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
  2. Investigate, analyse, and resolve business process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, and improve performance by providing appropriate recommendations to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Develop and implement forecasting models to support demand planning and inventory optimisation.
  4. Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to monitor supplier performance and ensure timely deliveries.
  5. Evaluate cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain.
  6. Assist in implementation of approved recommendations by engaging with key stakeholders.
  7. Monitor relevant company related KPIs and maintain dashboards for use by relevant stakeholders
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure seamless operations.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations, company standards and policies.
  11. Provide training and support to team members to encourage development and growth within the organisation.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with external parties.
  13. Identify and assess emerging trends or opportunities in logistics and customer service to support the company's strategic goals and long-term growth.

What we’re looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in supply chain management, business, or other related discipline, or agreed substitute.
  2. At least 3, preferably more, years of experience as a supply chain analyst in a similar manufacturing or industrial sector.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and other relevant software.
  4. Possess a great ability of turning data into insights, and insights into action.
  5. A results-driven mindset with a focus on improving company outcomes while achieving personal and team objectives.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  8. Knowledge of industry-standard supply chain practices and regulations.
  9. High attention to detail.
