We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager / Project Lead (OSS) to drive the successful delivery of complex telecommunications programs. This role sits at the intersection of network engineering, software development, and business strategy, with a strong focus on OSS transformation and modernisation.
You will play a critical role in improving network service assurance, provisioning efficiency, and overall operational performance within a large-scale telecom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of OSS and network transformation programs, from initial requirements through to deployment and post-launch support
- Define and manage technical roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
- Act as the central point of contact for program governance and delivery health
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business units
- Provide OSS domain expertise across fulfilment, assurance, inventory, and network management systems (NMS)
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring minimal disruption to network services
- Engage with senior stakeholders, delivering clear updates on project status, budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), and vendor performance
- Drive continuous improvement through CI/CD, automation, and DevSecOps practices
Skills & Experience Required
- 15+ years' experience in technical program management and/or software development within the telecommunications industry
- Strong expertise in OSS/BSS systems, including network provisioning, assurance, and inventory
- Solid understanding of 5G/LTE networks, IoT, and cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, Splunk, and Dynatrace
- Proven track record working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across global time zones
- Experience working with telecommunications operators and network equipment providers (NEPs) in Australia
