We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our technical team.

Position: 1 Telecommunications Field Engineer

Location: Unit 2, 5 Townsend Street, Malaga, Perth WA 6090

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary

$70,000 – $100,000 per annum + superannuation (based on skills and experience)

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure and commission telecommunications equipment including routers, switches, cabling and transmission systems
2. Integrate telecommunications networks with computer systems, hardware, software and operating environments
3. Diagnose and resolve faults in network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption
4. Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance to optimise system reliability and efficiency
5. Maintain accurate records of equipment, configurations, inventory and service activities
6. Prepare and update technical documentation, including procedures, policies and compliance standards
7. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, stakeholders and internal teams
8. Conduct site inspections, testing and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems in field environments
9. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and organisational requirements
10. Coordinate with vendors, service providers and project teams to support installations and upgrades
11. Support deployment of new technologies, upgrades and network expansions
12. Respond to service requests and incidents within agreed service level timeframes

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Diploma or equivalent in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related field
2. Proven experience in telecommunications field engineering, network installation, or technical support roles
3. Experience with telecommunications equipment, cabling standards, and transmission technologies
4. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in field-based environments
5. Familiarity with operating systems, databases, and system integration concepts
6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks effectively
