Welder Fabricator - TIG /MIG
đź“Ť Hallam, VIC (first 3 months based in Boronia)
đź’° $42-$50 per hour + super (casual)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Casual Welder Fabricator to join our production team based in Hallam. Reporting to the Fabrication Team Leader, this hands‑on role involves high‑quality TIG and MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly of structural components in line with detailed engineering drawings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking for stable casual work, competitive hourly rates, and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyse engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
- Fit, position, align, tack, and weld fabricated plates and structural components
- Perform TIG and MIG welding to a high standard of quality and precision
- Ensure finished products meet drawing specifications and company quality standards
- Assist with the development of jigs, templates, and work aids
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in line with OH&S requirements
- Complete work efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Accurately record timekeeping and job progress
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years' experience in TIG welding
- Strong experience with TIG and MIG welding processes
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Understanding of metallurgy and strong mathematical skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional attitude with a proactive approach
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel - desirable but not essential)
- Physically capable of manual handling up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs)
