Trainee Recruitment Consultant Position

Location: Melbourne CBD (Onsite)

The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Melbourne CBD team. This role is ideal for someone with client-facing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is eager to build a rewarding career in recruitment.You will work closely with our Managing Director, Tavis Shearer, who brings over 25 years of recruitment expertise. You’ll be given structured training, real responsibility, and the opportunity to build and grow your own recruitment desk.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Source, screen, and shortlist candidates for client roles
  2. Develop and grow a portfolio of clients
  3. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement
  4. Utilise digital sourcing, social media, networking, and CRM tools to identify talent
  5. Provide consistent and professional service to both candidates and clients
  6. Maintain accurate records and manage candidate pipelines
  7. Deliver feedback and aftercare throughout the recruitment process

Training & Support You’ll receive:

  2. Ongoing mentoring and coaching from senior leadership

  4. Use of JobAdder CRM and digital onboarding tools
  5. RCSA-aligned training and certification pathways
