Transport Scheduler
Our client is a growing transport and logistics operation located in Truganina, servicing Melbourne and regional Victoria. They specialise in linehaul, local drops, and multi-stop deliveries. They require a Transport Scheduler to join their operations team and help drive efficiency, on-time performance, and superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling daily transport runs - optimising routes, resources, and delivery sequences.
- Coordinating with drivers, dispatch, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Allocating vehicles and resources, balancing utilisation and costs.
- Liaising with customers to manage expectations and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Preparing daily/weekly reports on performance, on-time delivery, and key metrics
Requirements:
- Previous experience in transport scheduling, dispatch, or fleet coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think fast under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Proficiency with route planning tools, scheduling software or spreadsheets.
- Ability to work standard weekday hours; flexibility for occasional extended shifts may be required.
