Slumbercorp Pty Ltd, a leading Australian bedding manufacturer with manufacturing facilities in three states including WA, Queensland and Northern territory. We currently have a great team of over 40 staff and are now looking for another team member in production working as an Upholsterer in our Perth factory. Based in Welshpool, Western Australia, we are seeking the services of a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. Must take pride in their work with preferred experience in all aspects of upholstery.

As an Upholsterer with Slumbercorp, you will be performing hands-on upholstery work and be responsible for working with the design and manufacturing teams to help create a wide range of headboards and a variety of bedroom furniture.

This is a permanent full-time position. We will offer a competitive rate based on your experience and abilities up to $77,000 per annum.

  1. 38hr work week, Mon-Thurs 8hrs, Fri 6hrs with potential over time.
  2. Tools and equipment and PPE supplied.
  3. Parking Onsite.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the Upholsterer position, you will need:

  1. Relevant trade qualifications in Upholstery (preferred).
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in Upholstery work.
  3. Experience in a variety of upholstery techniques.
  4. Experience working with a range of different materials and textiles.
  5. Experience working on a wide variety of furniture types and products.
  6. Experience in hands-on furniture design is highly desirable.
  7. Pattern making, cutting and efficient material utilization.
  8. Experience using all types of upholstery tools and equipment (e.g. hot knives, nail guns, sewing tools).
  9. Strong communication skills.
  10. High attention to detail.
  11. A friendly personality and the ability to work well within a team.
  12. Time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines and daily production schedules
