Vocational Education Teacher

EDINBURGH INSTITUTE PTY LTD （ABN **************） is seeking a full-time Vocational Education Teacher to join our team.

Edinburgh Institute is pursuing the objective of providing quality education in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in accordance with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF), to aspiring industry candidates. Our VET training courses prepare you for your future career and/or higher education study in business, management, Aged Care & Community Services and Construction. Our training is combined with academic quality and the delivery of hands-on skills required by the relevant industries and the ever-changing world that we live in today.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following

key responsibilities:

• Planning, designing and delivering vocational education and training programs in accordance with the prescribed course curriculum and training requirements.

• Identifying students’ learning needs and developing effective teaching and learning strategies to support different student abilities and backgrounds.

• Preparing lesson plans, learning materials, assessments, classroom activities, practical training sessions and workshops.

• Assessing, marking and grading students’ assignments.

• Providing students with constructive feedback on their academic progress, skills development and areas for improvement.

• Advising students on course requirements, study progress, training pathways and related academic matters.

• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, assessment outcomes, training activities, learning progress and course completion.

• Liaising with management, education staff, student support staff, industry partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective.

• Reviewing course delivery and assessment practices and recommending improvements to enhance student learning outcomes and compliance standards.

• Supporting the development and implementation of education policies, training procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Keeping up to date with relevant industry standards, vocational training requirements and best teaching practices.

Here’s what you need:

1. At least a Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
2. Relevant vocational education, training, teaching or industry experience.
3. Strong knowledge of vocational education and training delivery, assessment and student support.
4. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
7. Good computer skills.
