The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and dedicated tradespeople to fill two positions: Wall and Floor Tiler and Bricklayer. Both are trade-level, site-based roles for people who take genuine pride in the quality of their work and are comfortable managing a variety of tasks across different project types. Successful candidates will work across residential and commercial sites, contributing to projects from the structural stage through to final finishing works.
Key Responsibilities
Wall and Floor Tiler
- Review project drawings and technical specifications, take site measurements, and plan tile layouts before work commences
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by removing old tiles and adhesive, patching and levelling substrates, and ensuring all surfaces are clean, stable, and ready for installation
- Apply bonding adhesive uniformly and install tiles accurately, ensuring firm and secure adhesion throughout
- Operate tile-cutting tools and equipment to cut and shape tiles to size for edges, corners, fixtures, and penetrations
- Maintain consistent alignment and spacing across all tile installations to achieve a precise and professional finish
- Complete grouting to a high standard, including thorough clean-up and removal of residual grout
- Install waterproofing systems and membranes in wet areas in accordance with project requirements
- Lay floor coverings using granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or composite materials where applicable
- Set and arrange decorative tile patterns to create mosaic or feature finishes as directed
Bricklayer
- Read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and technical specifications to determine material requirements and work sequencing
- Set out and establish lines, levels, and profiles to guide accurate brickwork and blockwork construction
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units in accordance with project specifications, using mortar to bond materials and achieve correct alignment
- Cut and shape bricks and masonry units using hand tools and power equipment to fit openings, corners, and irregular surfaces
- Construct and install lintels, arches, and decorative masonry features as required
- Apply render, mortar, and finishing materials to masonry surfaces to achieve specified finishes
- Install damp-proof courses and other waterproofing measures in accordance with building standards
- Erect and dismantle formwork and scaffolding as required by project scope
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as a qualified Tiler and/or Bricklayer across residential and/or commercial projects
- Sound knowledge of relevant trade techniques, materials, and construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual work in varying site conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working with minimal supervision
- A collaborative team player who also performs well independently
- Current driver's licence preferred
